Pepper chicken
















Ingredients:
  • boneless chicken 2 pieces cut into small cubes
  • Shallots-10(if u have only onions chop 1 onion to small pieces)
  • 1 tomato chopped into small pieces
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • ginger-1tsp
  • BlackPepper powder-1tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • coriander powder-1tsp
  • garam masala-1tsp
  • chopped coconut pieces
  • coriander leaves
  • onion leaves(optional)
  • oil (If u r not that much health concious butter is tastier)-3tsp
To marinate:
  • lemon juice -1tsp
  • fenugreek powder-1tsp
  • Black pepper powder-1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  • salt-1/2 tsp
Preparation:
  1. Marinate the chicken for 1hr .
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add shallots.
  3. When it turns golden color add garlic and ginger.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and roast well till it becomes a thick gravy
  5. Add the chicken and stir well and close the kadai with a lid.cook for 10 mins in medium heat.hey, dont forget to stir in between.
  6. Add coriander powder,pepper powder,salt and mix well.cook for 5 mins and stir it.
  7. When the gravy starts thickening and oil starts separating add coconut pieces and garam masala.Stir well till you get chicken pieces separately.
  8. Add chopped coriander leaves and onion leaves to garnish.Your chicken is ready.

Pakkavada
















Let this be my first post.I never liked this item in India.After coming here I was searching in all shops for snack items..Nothing I liked.Then I started preparing my own .My hubby liked this very much.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 2 cup gram flour
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder(optional)
  • Warm water
  • oil
Preparation:
  1. Mix rice flour with warm water to make a soft dough
  2. Add chilly powder,asafoetida,salt,jeera ,gram flour and water to make the dough -dough will be very soft in this stage
  3. Take a seva press with the tape shape lid and put the dough prepared to the seva.
  4. Heat the oil in a tava, and press the seva in a circular fashion to fill the entire oil.Fry until golden brown.-You should be very careful ,otherwise it will become brown color.
  5. Take out the entire circle piece from the oil to a tissue paper and break it into smaller pieces.The picture shows pakkavada before breaking into pieces.
